Karl Marx - Not long after arriving in London as a political exile in 1849, Marx and his family were evicted from their home in Chelsea for non-payment of rent. Marx worked as a journalist but lived a poverty stricken life in Soho rooms from 1851 to 1856. Two of his young children died there. The man who revolutionised thinking about money wasn't very good at aquiring it himself. Karl Marx is buried at Highgate Cemetery in London

Sigmund Freud and Martha Freud. A Grecian urn contains their ashes.

James Abbott Whistler. Here lies Whistler and his wife Beatrix. The decorative statues that once adorned the four corners of the monument have now been stolen.
